Teeth can be straightened and whitened often in two visits with 80% of the cases that come into our office. It involves reshaping the enamel and dentin of the teeth, where the natural tooth exceeds the boundaries of a perfect smile. Then, one of a few different materials (Porcelain, Empress Porcelain, Bonding, etc.) are layered over the reshaped teeth to rebuild any deficiencies and give the teeth a beautiful, natural, straight appearance. Most cases can be done in just a couple of visits. This will depend upon other existing conditions (gum disease, excessive malalignments, tooth decay, etc.)
